Welcome to the second issue of the DreamsVerse updates — Delivering you long-form updates and exclusive sneak peeks of what’s happening behind the scenes.

This issue’s coverage includes unveiling new writers from the Dreams Quest writer’s room, insights into the game and lore developments, and our latest decision to revise token minting that serves in the best interest of the community.

Unveiling writers

In the last two weeks, we revealed two writers who are currently working in the Dreams Quest Writer’s Room. Michael Weiss, an award-winning screenwriting instructor with over 24 years of experience working alongside Hollywood studios and for well-known titles like Journey to the Center of the Earth as well as Jean Barker, a comic book creator, a screenwriter, an award-winning director and former journalist who’s soon to direct her first feature film.

Over the next coming weeks, we are going to be dropping more revelations on the phenomenal people working in the Dreams Quest Writer’s Room. Make sure that you’ve joined our tavern to stay updated with the latest announcements.

Revised token minting and vesting schedule

We also released an important update on our revised token minting and vesting schedule. The new schedule demonstrates our responsibility to the community and ensures that our actions serve the best interest of the project.

As per the revised schedule,

Marketing token release delayed with no new $DREAMS released since TGE and have significantly reduced the total amount to mint.
No new DEV tokens have been released since TGE. No further plans to release $DREAMS from this pool until the announcement of testing phases.
Team and Advisory token vesting extended from 6-month to 12-months.

Game lore

Along with revelations from the writer’s room, we have also been releasing sneak peeks of the DreamsVerse story which is currently under development. The game lore will give extensive details upon the rift, how it was created, what was before it and what your quest will be.

We have also developed some incredible city concepts, how to travel between the cities and realms, and your relationship with various artefacts within the game. Get more details on such sneak peeks directly from Steve in this video.

Dreams Quest Origins

Last week, Dreams Quest had an AMA with tehMoonwalkeR where you find Steve introducing Dreams Quest Origins along with other updates. Here’s what Steve says about it:

“The essence of the game is that there are 7 realms and a RIFT in the middle of it all. A place that is barren and unclear why. So Dreams Quest Origins is the starting point. A time far back in the past before the rift and players enter and are thrown into a situation where they have to quickly assess their environment and find out what’s going on they will have some quests to complete and be presented with information that makes little or no sense to them right now, but thats for them to unravel and solve mysteries and Origins really just introduces the players to the time of harmony and balance.”
