Dreams Quest Revised Minting and Vesting Schedule Update

To demonstrate our responsibility to the community and ensure that our actions serve the best interest of the project, we have revised the minting and vesting schedule for marketing, development, and team tokens.

Revised vesting schedule as follows:

Marketing tokens: only 2 million $DREAMS will be released per month commencing from the 1st of March. No marketing tokens have been released since TGE. The team delayed release and has now significantly reduced the total amount to mint.

Development tokens: presently no tokens have been released since TGE. Development tokens will not be released until bug bounty and testing phases are announced. Until then, there is no further plan to release any tokens from this pool.

Team and Advisory tokens: In addition to the changes in marketing and development, we have also decided to extend any vesting for the team and advisor tokens by an additional 6 months. We have revised our vesting schedule from an initial 6-months vesting to a total of 12-months vesting. With these revisions, vesting for team and advisors tokens will now start 1 year post TGE starting on November 2022. We would like to highlight that no $DREAMS tokens are currently minted to any of the Dreams Quest team or advisors. The extended period is being applied equally and fairly to everyone.

As a result of the above, we want to highlight that the total time to mint all tokens has been significantly slowed down from the previous plan which was published. The original plan had all tokens minting (except for gameplay tokens) within 24 months. The revised model now pushes the minting of tokens out significantly to be more in line with the user growth and expansion of the game and products.

We want to further highlight that our initial token minting programme was already extended by choosing to not mint any marketing or development tokens as per the original schedule.

It should be further noted that tech/development tokens having no plans to be minted until such time that they are needed for various incentives to the developer community when bug bounty and testing commences.

Token distribution and vesting schedule for marketing and tech development

The total supply of $DREAMS is 4,000,000,000 DREAMS (Minted over time + Pre-minted DREAMS).

Out of which, the tokens allocated to marketing and tech development are:

6% to Marketing
6% to Game design and development

Based upon the revised programme, these distributions still remain the same, however all tokens will not be minted within 24 months as previously published. Further details on token distribution will be provided as and when required as changes are required to meet the needs of the growth of the project.

Some additional comments on the Marketing tokens

As highlighted in one of our previous scrolls, not all marketing tokens minted at TGE was spent. A total of 7.45M tokens were available for marketing and other promotions. Over the past few months, we have used some of these tokens for different campaigns including Frost Giant, Tiger Hunt, Discord Game competition, Ambassador program, and others. There now remains approximately 4.3M $DREAMS which reside in a wallet and will continue to be used for marketing and promotional activities with our partners and community to ensure adequate growth, adoption and engagement.

What else are we thinking about doing?

We recognize that the key to token distribution comes down to a few things. First off, having a working platform and ensuring that user onboarding is ramping up at a faster pace than token distribution is taking place. We see this as an essential element of managing a treasury and ensuring there is a long lasting supply of tokens for the marketing and technology development activities that we have planned. This plan is ensuring that we have a long term sustainable business that will have tokens available for the long term for the various phases of our games development.

As we progress we are also reviewing and considering the possibility of setting up a separate foundation. We are seeking legal inputs and advice around this and will advise the community and make any further announcements should this be implemented.

What’s coming next?

We set out on this journey with the sole purpose of building an immersive gaming experience that also grants financial freedom for the work, effort, and time that players spend in engaging with the game.

We are deep into the creation of our lore, the entire back story that defines all of the quests, adventures and experiences that we are striving to make an exciting gaming experience. We have concept artists who are working closely with our writers as well as 3D designers and animators, all with a single purpose to bring together the story into a visual and compelling experience.

This will all lead to the release of the first chapter of our game, Dreams Quest Origins. There is a lot happening and we are continuing to forge ahead on our quest to deliver an amazing gaming experience.
