$DREAMS: Overview of the Dreams Verse Token Economy

Dreams Quest is a play-to-earn RPG card game using dynamic NFTs. Players are invited to explore the dream realms and go on an adventure by participating in quests, events, and tournaments. Players can battle against other players playing with cards that are represented by dynamic NFTs.

Our quest to build a unique gaming experience that transcends the limitations of traditional games using blockchain solutions has begun. Our guilds and factions have geared up to write a history that will forever be engraved. Our allies and alliances have also picked up their wands and collected their potions to march on this quest with us.

As the Dreams Verse unfolds, the overall game runs on a traditional set of in-game currencies including the $DREAMS token, the native utility token of Dreams Quest. The $DREAMS token holds the key to unlocking a variety of unique experiences and accessing a variety of game assets.

$DREAMS

Every traditional game has in-game resources such as gold and crystals which are used for spending. Many other games work with a variety of game resources such as wood, iron, and stone, which are all used to create an economy within the game. Oftentimes these resources are used to buy items, upgrade items and buildings and assemble your troops.

$DREAMS tokens are one of several in-game resources but is the only one that will be a cryptocurrency. Any other in-game resources will be used for forging NFTs, upgrades, and combining resources for potions or spells. $DREAMS will be used as an in-game resource the way gold is used in games to purchase items, to enter into tournaments, or to earn from the rental of game card packs.

For a better perspective, unlike traditional games where you may earn ‘Gold’ or ‘Crystals’ think of $DREAMS as a resource that players can earn and spend in-game, or simply withdraw them for personal usage in the ‘Mortal World’.

Earning $DREAMS from in-game play

The design of Dreams Quest is to ensure that there are many ways a user can grow, develop, earn, and spend in the Dreams Verse.

1. Quest and Battle Based Earnings

There are two major aspects to participating in the Dreams Quest gaming experience. In RPG exploration, players can participate in events and quests to find new items and tokens. During player vs. player battles, players earn $DREAMS tokens by defeating their opponent. The more challenging the match, the more you earn.

2. Marketplace Acquisition (Characters, Items, Magic)

Players can forge new items or upgrade items and sell them on marketplaces. They can set up their own shop in the DQ marketplace and sell items to receive $DREAMS tokens in return.

Players who run their own shops such as blacksmiths, shopkeepers, and alchemists will be able to earn through their trade with the players. While players can simply acquire new items or sell their inventory to purchase new items or withdraw their tokens from the game.

Using $DREAMS, players can also buy items such as chests and NFT cards or access new card packs that continue to drop in the online marketplace.

3. NFT Rentals

Within the Dreams Verse, players can rent out their NFT cards to fellow players for a period of time. By lending their cards, players can earn $DREAMS tokens.

4. Tournaments and other fun events

For players who wish to participate in tournaments or battle competitions, there will be an entry fee for all who dare to compete for the ultimate chance to win. The tournaments will be a winner-takes-all pool where the entry fees paid will be won by the top three players who complete the tournament or competition successfully.

5. Guardians who are staked and bond with a guild

Players who hold a Guardian NFT may also increase various game attributes and powers as well as increase the amount of tokens they may find or gain from quests or battles.

When a Guardian is bonded to a guild, they will be able to enhance both their own cards as well as of the members of their guild. When Guardians remain in their “natural” (unstaked) form, they will enhance various attributes or abilities such as increased hit points or experience and increased gain in some game resources. These abilities will also be extended to a guild; if the guild is bonded to Guardian.

However, when Guardians are “empowered” (staked) their abilities will switch to enhance magic abilities and to increase gain in DREAMS tokens. Staking also extends its effects to all guild members who are bonded to this Guardian.

Token Summary

To wrap up, $DREAMS token is an in-game resource that creates a positive gaming experience for all who play. Game resources and tokens can be spent in the game to buy new items from the marketplace, participate in tournaments, forge items, upgrade items, create potions, and more. Players will also be able to use the various resources to purchase new NFT game card packs. Players who earn $DREAMS can either spend the tokens in-game or simply remove them from their game to send them to an exchange or private wallet.

In essence, we are building a metaverse-based economy, an in-game economy that will be self-sustaining and driven by how people transact, acquire, sell, buy and participate within the Dreams Verse, a circular and closed token economy.
